Geneviève Barro: motivation for the position of Rector of EENI Global Business School

The announcement of the opening of the post of Rector of EENI Global Business School (HA-UNIVERSITY) caught my attention and I decided to follow up by sending my application.

I am a research professor and associate professor in the Option of Applied Mathematics, Numerical Analysis and Computer Science on the one hand, and an expert in qualified digital education with experience on the other hand. My professional experience fits perfectly with the qualifications and skills required for the job. As a researcher in Mathematics and eLearning project designer, scientific and educational director of four degrees and two completely distance masters and taught by Universities and Institutes, including the Institute of Sciences (IDS), I can make a positive contribution to the functioning of their academic programs.

In fact, with a Doctorate in applied mathematics, I realised, since I was a PhD student, the importance of ICT as essential tools to promote a higher education system that wants to be efficient and that intends to be the pillar of development strategies. As a result, I have dedicated myself to mastering ICT and improving its use in teaching.

The various diplomas, certificates, certifications and specialisations have made me an expert in several international organisations and member of scientific societies and associations such as CAMES, ECOWAS, UNESCO Chair, IFIC, AREN, AUF.

With more than ten years of experience, I became an expert in the pedagogical integration of ICT, designing, creating and managing a device for eLearning and for MOOCs. This experience also extends to the transmission of training and the stimulation of students' motivation.

In addition, my professional experience has allowed me to acquire a wide range of skills, such as conflict resolution and interpersonal skills, I also have a solid teaching background and a passion for developing the interest of my students.

Expert of the African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education (CAMES) and the University Agency of the Francophonie (AUF) for the evaluation of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) on the one hand and quality assurance in HEIs by the another, my main concern will be to put my skills at the service of teachers and students in order to promote a higher quality tertiary education.
