The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) is an economic and integration organisation of Central Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa.

The member countries of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) are:

The purpose of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) is to achieve the economic integration of the member countries:

  1. COMESA Free Trade Area
  2. Customs Union of the Eastern and Southern Africa
  3. COMESA common market
  4. COMESA Economic community

All the countries of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) are members of the COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Free Trade Agreement.

South Sudan has requested the access to the Common Market of the Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

The former members of COMESA are Angola, Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique and Tanzania.
